This week, the Wisconsin State Legislature will wrap up their work on the state’s 2021-2023 budget. The bill then heads to Governor Evers’ desk for him to apply line-item vetoes and sign it into law or veto the entire bill.

The League’s SVP of Advocacy Sarah Wainscott testified in front of the Senate Committee on Financial Institutions and Revenue in support of SB 19, a bill that will better empower credit unions to prevent the financial exploitation of vulnerable adults.

Next week, the Senate Committee on Financial Institutions and Revenue will hold a public hearing on Senate Bill 19, relating to financial exploitation of vulnerable adults.

While Wisconsin was bested by Minnesota in the Border Battle fundraising competition earlier this month, Activists were able to raise $9,375, 129% of Wisconsin’s goal for this event!

Last week, over 100 Wisconsin Credit Union Activists participated in the 2021 CUNA Government Affairs Conference.

On January 26 – 28, over 200 Credit Union Activists participated in The League’s State Government Affairs Conference.
