Yesterday, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 2543 – Federal Reserve Racial and Economic Equity Act on a near party line vote. The bill is a package of a dozen provisions, including a credit union bill, H.R. 7003 – Expanding Financial Access for Underserved Communities Act.

The League’s Government Affairs team met with their counterparts from CUNA and other state leagues this week to strategize and collaborate.

March 20th marked the first day of Spring, and as temperatures rise, help us raise our influence too and champion candidates important to The Movement!

Last week, over 50 Activists joined leaders from across the country in Washington D.C. to advocate as part of the 2022 CUNA’s Government Affairs Conference. The week featured thought provoking speakers, the annual CULAC Sweepstakes to raise funds to support friendly candidates, and importantly, visits with Wisconsin members of Congress.

From January 26 – 28, over 130 Credit Union Activists met with state legislators, both in person and over Zoom, as part of The League’s annual State Government Affairs Conference.

On January 26, over 130 Wisconsin Credit Union Activists shared The Credit Union Difference in meetings with their legislators for our annual State Government Affairs Conference.

On Tuesday, Activists from across Wisconsin attended the Senate Committee on Financial Institutions and Revenue hearing to support and testify in favor of SB 451, a bill modernizing the state statutes governing credit unions.
