The State Bar of Wisconsin developed this handbook to give basic information about guardianships and the guardian’s duties. The handbook explains the basics of guardianship and outlines the court procedure followed to appoint a guardian and keep track of what the guardian is doing. It was prepared based on Wisconsin law as it existed in April 2008.
