October 13 – Protecting against Ransomware Attacks
The NCUA is teaming up with the FBI, Treasury Department and the Wisconsin Office of Credit Union’s Deputy Director, Tom Theune, to host a free webinar to help learn how to protect against a ransomware attack on your credit union’s network. On October 13, the NCUA will be hosting this two-hour webinar at 1 p.m. C.T. Registration for Ransomware in the Financial Sector is now open. The webinar will present real-world examples to illustrate the potential impact of ransomware attacks and have a question-and-answer period.
Participants for both webinars will be able to log into the webinar and view it on your computers or mobile devices using the registration link. You should allow pop-ups from the website. The webinars will be closed captioned and archived on the NCUA’s Learning Management System approximately one week following the live events.
