Financial crimes investigators group seeks nominations

News Compliance Courier

NEWS:  The Wisconsin Chapter of the International Association of Financial Crimes Investigators (IAFCI) will hold its 37th annual Financial Crimes Seminar on Wednesday, Oct. 4, at the Waukesha County Technical College in Pewaukee. The IAFCI invites financial institutions’ management and fraud investigators to attend.

As part of the event, the IAFCI is seeking nominations for “Investigator of the Year.” According to the association, “The Officer does not need to be a member of the IAFCI; however, they do need to be an employee who worked on a financial crime or cyber-crime related case and went above and beyond to investigate the crime. We strongly encourage nominations to recognize well-deserving employees. It is a one-page nomination form that requires a narrative with a general brief description of the investigation. Nominations are due August 9, 2023.”

The IAFCI is an international, non-profit organization, that provides “services and an environment within which information about financial fraud, fraud investigation and fraud prevention methods can be collected, exchanged and taught for the common good of the financial payment industry and our global society.”
