Northeastern WI Credit Unions Address “Period Poverty”
In February, several Northeastern Wisconsin credit unions in conjunction with Jake’s Network of Hope decided to address the #1 reason girls miss school: lack of access to feminine hygiene products. Through a program called “We Gotcha Girl,” volunteers packed hundreds of period kits to distribute to local area schools in addition to a $10,000 donation.

Governor Signs Elder Abuse & Financial Institution Modernization Laws
On March 21, Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers signed two important bills that The League strongly advocated for to combat financial elder abuse and modernize credit union state statutes.
