This release applies to all state and federally chartered credit unions making real estate loans, including subordinate liens. It describes the requirements of the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA) and the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Regulation X. It addresses the revised Good Faith Estimate and HUD-1/HUD-1A forms, required as of January 1, 2010.
