This release is adapted from NCUA’s Interpretive Ruling and Policy Statement Number 87-1, which encourages all credit unions to adopt a code of conduct. The code of conduct should be designed to alert the credit union staff and officials to the federal bank bribery law, and establish written policies on acceptable conduct.
