This release applies to all credit unions, state or federal. It addresses important issues regarding credit union official checks and member share drafts. It describes revisions to the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) Articles 3 and 4, effective August 1, 1996. The results are binding on credit unions except where clearinghouse rules, account agreements, etc., provide otherwise.
